Three Steps Forward...and Twenty Steps Back.

When I arrived to pick up Jaden from Mimi's house, I found him sitting nicely on the living room floor.  As soon as he saw me, he gave me a big smile and started waving his arms.   I told him to crawl towards me and as soon as I said it, I started asking Mimi about his day.  I was looking at him, half paying attention, when she reminded me that he was crawling towards me!   He took three steps forward and I was thrilled.  We tried to re-create it but after that he was all backwards.  He has the backwards crawling nailed down, but it's only a matter of time until he realizes that he can get places much faster by crawling forwards.

Jaden's growing more hair every day; it's currently a spikey 'do.  I wonder if his hair will be slightly curly like Mike's.   For now, it is straight like mine. :)

We're progressing in the sleep department; for the past five days he's been crying it out and each night gets better and better.  He is starting to realize that we will not respond to his cries immediately when he wants us to, so for the past two nights he's been falling asleep on his own, with only a brief whine - no tears.  

The easter pics with the hat and ears were a big hit at work.  Everyone loves them and thinks he keeps getting cuter and cuter with age.  I tend to agree!  I unfortunately have no pictures for you today but will post some as soon as I have new ones.
